Fascinating photos captured 33 years ago show Merseyside match-goers at Anfield stadium and Goodison Park. Back in 1991, photographer Richard Davis followed supporters from across the North West for a book about football, fashion and music. The ECHO previously reported how Richard spent much of the season taking pictures of fans from Liverpool, Everton and more for the book Football With Attitude and he shared a number of photos from his collection with our readers.

The 1991 photographs are now part of the latest Lower Block photo zine, Going to the Match 1991 and a new exhibition - and more brilliant images capture fans in the city and away matches over three decades ago. Richard previously told the ECHO: "One of my childhood memories that stands out was meeting the Liverpool manager Bill Shankly in the early 1970s in Birmingham, at a Subbuteo Tournament which I'm pretty sure was held at Villa Park, home of Aston Villa. I was a football mad kid and Bill Shankly was definitely the greatest manager and at that time Liverpool dominated football in the English game, the era of Toshack and Keegan.
