Although it was just a friendly, Bayern Munich showed us what they are capable of. Here’s the awards from today’s game. Jersey Swap: Dejan Kulusevski Is there anyone else? The Swedish attacker did the most for Spurs today, scoring two goals.

The first goal, one could say, only happened because of the mistakes Bayern’s defense made, but it was a good finish nevertheless. The second goal on the other hand was beautifully executed by the Tottenham players, and finished even better by Kulusevski. The Spurs man took complete advantage of the lapse in Bayern’s defense, and scored with calm and composure.

Top notch attacker today, most deserving of this award. Der Kaiser: Eric Dier Although the former Spurs defender played only 45 minutes of the game, he showed his best efforts for every second he was on the pitch. While Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, and Raphaël Guerreiro also put in a good performance, it was clear that Dier was completely focused on covering the TWO positions he was put in.

At both left back AND center back, Eric Dier showed his prowess at covering both positions at the same time. His talent, despite lacking in areas like his pace, could definitely mess with Upamecano’s or Kim’s positions on the depth chart. Fußballgott: Joshua Kimmich This man is ready for the next season.

Despite some questionable performances and keeping silent a few games ago (at least in comparison), Kimmich now looks like he’s 100% ready to compete for every trophy available. The Bayern mentality monster played 80 minutes of the game, and had plenty to show for it. He was the most accurate passer, played very well defensively while simultaneously creating the most chances, and was just overall incredible for Die Rekordmeister .

Joshua Kimmich is back, and we’re here for it. Der Bomber: Serge Gnabry I know, we’re pretty surprised too. After a long streak of pretty terrible performances (almost entirely due to a lack of confidence.

..and maybe just skill), Gnabry put his back into it today.

He scored a pretty good goal, with a long range finish from the outside of his boot, and it was beautiful to finally see him finish an opportunity. There are definitely areas he can improve, but it was still very satisfying, almost relieving, to see his performance today, Maybe there is hope for him yet. Meister of the Match: Thomas Müller Not exactly the most obvious choice for this award, but definitely deserving of it.

Müller essentially drives Bayern’s press. Not drives, he IS the press. Without him on the pitch, the players simply did not know how to push.

It becomes visibly more intense when Müller is on the pitch, guiding all nine other outfield players. His header goal was a bullet of beauty, aimed and finished perfectly, and it was reminiscent of his striker days when he used to score goals in the most unusual ways. He didn’t play for too long, but definitely made his regular impact during the time he did.

There were occasional moments of confusion, but that is hard to avoid when there is not much chemistry between the new players on the pitch. What did you think of our award selection?
