SPECIAL REPORT: The murder of Nyle Corrigan and the movements his two killers made to carry out the sickening execution In the late afternoon of November 12 2020 teenager Nyle Corrigan left his home address in Stockbridge Village on his Sur-Ron electric bike. He would never return home. At some point as the cold and dark winter’s evening began to draw in, the 19-year-old left his friend Harry Morris’ company and continued on his journey.
Shortly before 6.30pm Mr Corrigan rode down Boode Croft towards an alleyway that he would have used as a short cut to take him onto Haywood Road countless times . He was completely unaware that two men were waiting for him at the edge of a field next to the road.
The men who lay in wait for him had travelled to the scene on foot across a nearby field. They were wearing gloves and masks and had hoods pulled up to disguise their faces. And one of them was armed with a 9mm Glock semi-automatic handgun.
As Mr Corrigan rode towards the alleyway, the men called out to him. Before he could react he was shot once in the back. He would die in agony on the side of the road around 50 minutes later .
For four years Mr Corrigan’s family, including his mum Lesley Kelly and siblings Amelia and Rory Corrigan, have gone without answers. But over the past six weeks four men - Jamie Coggins, 28, Martin Wilson, 37, Connor Smith, 26, and Anthony Llewellyn, 25 - have been on trial accused of his murder. They were joined in the dock by Smith’s parents Melan.
