Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts’ trailer teases hot mess of anti-heroes | Image: Screengrab from Marvel Entertainment/YouTube Marvel Studios has finally dropped the first teaser trailer for “Thunderbolts,” giving fans a glimpse at the new supervillains team that is set to shake the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). “Thunderbolts” features a blend of misfits assembled by the US government for a special mission, with Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, seemingly leading the pack as she struggles to find her place after Black Widow . The three-minute and 20-second trailer shows thrilling action sequences that tease the chaotic dynamics of the rogue team, with Yelena teaming up with John Walker/US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John Caiman), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).

The trailer also shows Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who’s tasked with managing the unlikely heroes, as well as an exciting glimpse into the unexpected addition to the team: Bob, aka Sentry (Lewis Pullman). Alongside the trailer, Marvel has also released the first poster for the film, with the tagline, “Careful Who You Assemble.

” The film’s title with an emphasis on an asterisk (*) also made the audience question its relevance to the story, especially as Marvel is known for its easter eggs. Directed by Jake Schreier (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew), “Thunderbolts*” is expected to deliver a darker tone, more mature storytelling with a blend of action centered on moral dilemmas. Slated for a 2025 release, “Thunderbolts” is inclined to challenge the meaning of what it means to be a hero.
