Martha Stewart has revealed startling details about her personal life in new Netflix documentary Martha, including how she lost her virginity. The 83-year-old, who recently said she 'hates' her new documentary and talked about her past infidelity , candidly discussed her relationship with ex-husband Andrew "Andy" Stewart, which began when she was 19 and he was 23. The lifestyle guru describes being immediately captivated by the Yale Law School student's sophistication during their first date.
"He picked me up in his little yellow Mercedes sedan. I had never been in a Mercedes before," Stewart recalls in the documentary. "By the end of dinner, I was madly in love.
" The documentary reveals that their relationship faced immediate pushback from Stewart's father, Edward Kostyra, who physically struck her upon learning of their engagement plans. "My dad slapped me hard on my face and said: 'No, you're not marrying him. He's a Jew,'" Stewart recounts.
