A Married At First Sight UK star has hit back after fans branded her mum the ‘mother in law from hell’ . Lacey Martin took to Instagram to have her say after viewers blasted her mum Maxine for how she treated her groom Nathan Campbell on the E4 show. It came after Maxine and Lacey’s twin sister Paige visited the couple for dinner as part of in-laws week.
Things got off to a bad start when Maxine announced she would be making chicken fajitas for dinner – even though Nathan is a vegetarian so didn’t eat the food, which he awkwardly described as “looking like it was from the bottom of a bin”. Unsurprisingly his ‘banter’ didn’t go down with Maxine who burst into tears at the “rude” comment and claimed she had “never met a vegetarian before”. She then went on to grill her new son-in-law about his relationship with Lacey.
