Critical comments quickly swarmed social media as users judged the YouTuber for being reckless. Even fellow YouTubers like Some Ordinary Gamers (also known as Mutahar) made a video where they expressed their disappointment with Marques Brownlee for speeding recklessly in a children's zone where kids could cross the road.
This all started because of Brownlee's latest sponsored video titled "How My Video Gear is Changing!" where he showcased himself in first-person view speeding as the speedometer went up to 96 mph in a 35 mph children's zone. The clip in question was deleted from the video itself which resulted in even more backlash.
