People in New Jersey addicted to opioids will have more access to medication at home to help them with their recovery under a new pilot program funded by taxpayers. Sonara Health, a Mark Cuban-backed startup founded by a doctor in 2020, is a digital system that allows patients with opioid use disorder to take methadone at home while being monitored by a clinician. Most patients currently go to a clinic to receive daily methadone doses.
