“Kita rin sa reactions ng mga teachers na nakapanood na na-inspire sila at nakita nila ang sarili nila kay Teacher Emmy,” Marian wrote. “Kaya nga halos triple ang nanood noong Sabado, nadadagdagan ang screening time at dumadami ang nanonood araw-araw,” she added. Marian ended her post by underscoring how the film industry has been integral to the arts and our culture.
“Palawakin sana natin ang ating isip tungkol sa pag-appreciate nito,” she concluded. After its successful run during this year's Cinemalaya Film Festival, "Balota" has returned to Philippine cinemas this month with a new cut. Marian's highly praised performance as Teacher Emmy led her to win the Best Actress trophy at the Cinemalaya awards night .
