As reported by The Sun , Rashford's luxury Range Rover Sport collided with a black Mercedes on July 16 in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Rashford, 26, had been sat in the car behind and his Range Rover was driven by a friend while Dutch defender Malacia was sat in the passenger seat.

Both the unnamed friend and Malacia were sent to hospital as a precaution but they were cleared to leave by doctors after avoiding injury. It is believed Rashford was not directly impacted by the smash.
