Prayagraj : A 37-year-old electrician, identified as Jai Singh , a resident of Malak Nagar village, was allegedly stoned to death by two of his close friends near the Pasaur Bagia area under the limits of Charwa police station of Kaushambi district late on Saturday night. The body of the slain electrician was recovered from the bagia on Sunday morning. Upon being alerted, senior police officials, including SP (Kaushambi) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, along with forensic experts, rushed to the spot and carried out investigations.

Police said the slain electrician, along with two of his friends, had left his house on Saturday night and enjoyed liquor with them. Police said that both the friends were also electricians. The nephew of the slain electrician, Sonu, has accused Lalchandra Pasi and Raju of killing his uncle.



Police have detained Lalchandra, and a team has been dispatched to ensure the arrest of Raju. The reason behind the killing is still unknown. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
