YouTuber Scott was amazed by what he found inside the cheap hotel (Image: YOUTUBE/WANDERING WIGANER) If you were offered a hotel room in a popular seaside resort that cost just £9 for a night, you might think there was a catch. And YouTuber Scott from the Wandering Wiganer channel found out there was – but it didn't take away from the "bl**dy brilliant" bargain. The North Ocean hotel is nicely situated right on Blackpool’s seafront, about a mile from popular destinations such as the Comedy Station club and Yates’s Wine Lodge.

And at a very reasonable £18 for a twin room – just £9 per person – it’s a very sweet deal, especially as the room offers an inspiring sea view. function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.

'I stayed at UK's cheapest hotel for £6 a night and one thing left me puzzled' [RELATED] “It is next door to a couple of building sites, but don't let that put you off,” Scott explained. The small room was reasonably clean, with electric sockets handily placed next to the bed and surprisingly for the price it offered a modern-looking ensuite shower room. Scott did notice, however, that “the hot water takes about five minutes to come through – literally”.

It was a case of turning the shower on and then waiting patiently until the water finally emerged. Even when it did, the pressure was very low, especially in a top floor room. The YouTuber noted, philosophically: “You’re not going to be having a very good shower but better than nothing.

” The room itself was small, but serviceable (Image: Wandering Wiganer/YouTube) Don't miss...

Unassuming hotel room door is actually hiding 'best view in the world' [LATEST] Boost to UK seaside town set for incredible new £75m hotel and holiday village [BACKGROUND] Hotel with nine bedrooms and bar goes on sale for £50k – then people see inside [UPDATE] Trending Admitting that he was “pretty easy to please,” Scott listed the room’s other features: “We have got a complimentary Aldi soap and we've got some extra toilet rolls on a rusty shelf. “I've got a clean carpet, the bed looks sort of clean although it does look a bit broken over, and I've got a clean bathroom.” There was a decent-sized TV, as well as a kettle and a couple of complimentary bottles of mineral water.

And it even had “shedloads of tea and coffee”. The shower was the one let-down (Image: Wandering Wiganer/YouTube) All in all, he concluded, it amounted to a pretty good bargain. He explained: “It’s just a dated room, but you’re not bothered at this price – they’ve made the best of what they’ve got.

” Especially for a stay over a Bank Holiday weekend – albeit on a quiet Sunday evening – £18 for a double room was an incredible bargain. “For what you’re paying it's bl**dy brilliant,” Scott says..
