The deceased was identified as Shahnewaz Kallu, 38, a restaurant worker. The deceased's sister Nasrin Akter said Shahnewaz suffered bullet injuries at around 9:30PM in front of Jalal Decorator Shop on Humayun Road while he was returning to the camp from his workplace. He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 11:45pm, she added.
The hospital police outpost inspector Md Faruk said the body was sent to the morgue for autopsy. Mohammadpur Police Station OC Ali Iftekher said, " No one was arrested yet in connection with the incident." TF.
