A man was rushed to hospital last night after being assaulted in Dublin city centre . Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene on Talbot Street , Dublin 1 on Thursday evening, November 7. The victim, a man in his 20s, was treated at the scene before being taken to the Mater Hospital, where his injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

Gardai cordoned off a section of the city centre street just off Joyce's Walk as they continue their investigations into the alleged assault. In a statement to the Mirror, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault which occurred on Talbot Street, Dublin 1 last night, Thursday, 7th November 2024.
"A man (20s) was brought to the Mater Hospital to be treated for injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening. "Investigations are ongoing." This is the latest violent incident to have occurred on Talbot Street in the past 18 months.
