Prayagraj : In a major development, a team from the Fatehpur police on Sunday arrested a man identified as Pankaj Kumar Shukla , a resident of Bahrampur who had allegedly stored 61kg firecrackers in two rooms of shop in Raghunathpur Mazre Aurai, Bhagupur turn. Police said that the shop owner failed to provide a valid or renewed licence and documents for storing firecrackers and was further booked under relevant sections of the Explosive Act . The accused was carrying an expired licence document, which expired on March 31.
Police also claimed that the seizure of illegally stored firecrackers was conducted during a checking drive. Officials have intensified checking campaign across the district..
