A man has been charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin in a city centre neighbourhood. Muhammed Ahmed, 40, is also charged with possession of a Class A drug and an offensive weapon in a private place. It follows reports of issues with drug dealing in the Regency area of Brighton .
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said that Ahmed, of no fixed address, was arrested on May 10 and bailed pending further enquiries. He was re-arrested on September 19 and charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon. He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 16 and has been remanded in custody pending his next court appearance.
