SHREVEPORT, La. -- No injuries were reported Monday when Shreveport police say a man fired into a house occupied by two people, including his ex-girlfriend. It took place in the 500 block of East 67th Street.
According to initial reports, Bryant Thomas drove by and fired multiple gunshots at the house before driving away. At least one bullet hit the house. No one was hit, police said.
A short time later, patrol officers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of East 70th Street and Line Avenue that fit the description of the one seen at the shooting scene. Thomas, 44, was the driver. He was taken into custody without incident.
Thomas was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on the following charges: · Aggravated criminal property damage · Assault by drive-by shooting · Illegal use of a weapon · Reckless operation of a vehicle · Driving while intoxicated (DWI).
