Mamie Laverock is back with her “When Calls The Heart” cast, months after her five-story near-fatal hospital fall. The 20-year-old Hallmark actress shared a photo on Oct. 1 with her co-stars at Hallmark’s Hearties Family Reunion event last month.
The weekend for the network’s fans took place on Sept. 13-15 at the Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. Laverock — who was on life support after plunging several stories from a balcony during a hospital stay in May — was using a walker while posing on the red carpet with her castmates.
The young star smiled and made a heart with her hands for the photo while wearing a long dress and white sweater for her return to the spotlight. “At the end of every rainbow there is a pot of gold. Returning to the warm light of the When Calls The Heart reunion,” Laverock captioned the photo via Facebook .
“I love you.” The star was 19 when she ended up in critical care after the terrifying fall. Her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, started a GoFundMe campaign and revealed details of the incident.
After spending two weeks in “intensive treatment” in the hospital for an unspecified medical emergency, Laverock “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” per the fundraiser page. “She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support ,” her family wro.
