This appointment is a significant milestone in MyCEB’s development, with Tan stepping into this leadership position, bringing extensive experience in the business events sector and a proven track record of success within the bureau. Tan Mei Phing’s role as Acting CEO comes at a crucial time for MyCEB, as the organization seeks to expand its influence on the global stage.
In her new capacity, she will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, financial planning, and operational execution of MyCEB’s initiatives. Over her 12-year tenure at MyCEB, Tan Mei Phing has demonstrated outstanding leadership and a deep understanding of the business events landscape. Before her current appointment, she successfully managed several key divisions, including Event Facilitation, Sales, Marketing & Branding, Industry Development, PR & Communications, and Market Intelligence. Her strategic leadership in these areas has been instrumental in elevating Malaysia’s profile as a leading hub for international business events and conferences.
Tan Mei Phing’s distinguished career in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) industry is marked by her involvement in numerous major international conferences held in Malaysia. She began her career with an international Destination Management Company (DMC), gaining valuable experience in event management. She then advanced to the role of a Professional Conference Organizer (PCO), where she further developed her skills in bidding for and managing large-scale events, solidifying her reputation as a seasoned professional in the field.
