Friday, November 29, 2024 The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to kick off the journey to Mahakumbh 2025 with the grand event, “Mahakumbh 2025 Prelude,” held at the Hotel Ashok in New Delhi. This prestigious event, organized on November 29, 2024, is an essential first step toward promoting the highly anticipated Mahakumbh 2025, scheduled to take place in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025. The event is expected to draw millions of pilgrims from across the world, making it not just a religious gathering but a global cultural and tourism event.

The Prelude event will be graced by prominent dignitaries, including Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Tourism and Culture, Jaiveer Singh. Additionally, a host of foreign ambassadors and high commissioners, including representatives from countries such as Bhutan, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the USA, Malaysia, Myanmar, the UK, Mauritius, South Africa, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Brazil, Nigeria, Japan, and others, are expected to attend. The event also promises significant participation from officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
