A "magical" woodland campsite has been rated in a list of the country’s outstanding campsites for 2024. Beech Estate Campsite, near Battle, featured in Campsites.co.
uk’s ranking of the 150 best places to camp in the UK this year. Set in 600 acres of private woodland, the campsite was praised for its options of regular camping or glamping in bell tents. Guests can pitch up among the trees and get back to nature, complete with bucket showers and campfires.
Hugh Sandie, the owner of the campsite said: "My idea was to provide the essence of wild camping in an environmentally friendly, easy, and enjoyable way for families. "Don't expect silk sheets and butler service, but we will give you a back-to-nature experience that won't be forgotten." A Camspites.
co.uk spokeswoman said guests "could not speak more highly of the campsite," with 100 percent of guests saying they would recommend the site and an average 4.89 rating.
Campsites.co.uk website said it is the "perfect spot" for families, groups and couples looking to get away from it all.

This year, it was one of 150 on Campsites.co.uk’s annual list of outstanding sites highlighting camping, glamping, and touring sites across the UK which offer campers a "reliably great holiday.
