Deerstone Glamping in Earby, which is the first place in the UK to offer see-through domes to sleep in, has just come off the end of its first full tourist season. Owned by husband and wife team, Karin and Chris Greenwood, the inspiration behind the spot was to bring a Scandinavian influence to East Lancashire’s tourism scene. Karin said: “It’s been a year we didn’t expect.
“We’ve been fully booked throughout the summer, and we’re now fully booked up until December. (Image: Dearstone Glamping) “I even forgot to close the calendar so now we’re booked up for the new year. “It’s just been magical.
” Campsites.co.uk announced Karin’s creation as 'Outstanding’ earlier this year in a list of the country’s best places to camp.
Originally from Estonia before moving to England 18 years ago, Karin’s vision was inspired by igloos, she described seeing it now in reality as a “dream come true”. She added: “These next few months are going to be a test, to see how it goes with the change in weather. “We’ve put some shelter out on the hot tubs though and a high-profile TV series has asked to come down and film so it’s looking good.

” Each dome has an individual hot tub and fire pit for.
