expert Mel Schilling has shared an upbeat health update, confirming she's getting ready for her final round of chemotherapy. The Australian relationship expert shared her at the end of last year. She has since and , and has been updating her fans regularly.

In a new post, Schilling published two pictures with her husband Gareth Brisbane as they were enjoying the sunshine after a lunch date. In the caption, the reality TV star explained she's about to have her "final" round of chemo. "Date lunch with the big guy to celebrate my impending FINAL round of chemo," she wrote.



"Lovely day on the river, beautiful food, a sip of wine & optimism all round." Schilling also added the hashtag #ringthatbell to her post – a reference to a tradition that some patients choose to undertake at their treatment centre, where they ring a bell to mark the end of their chemotherapy. Earlier this year, Schilling shared .

Feeling fatigued and nauseous is a bigger part of my everyday life. It feels like I'm hungover or pregnant every day, which is not fun," she told in May, when she was around halfway through her treatment. "In true 'me' fashion, the day we moved was the day I started chemotherapy – I don't do things by halves," she added, discussing her recent move from Australia to the UK with Brisbane and daughter Maddie.

"It's been a tricky time as I've been adjusting to going through that and moving house. But Gareth has been doing most of the move so I'm very lucky he's happy to pick up the slack." Last month, , saying "self compassion" was one of the biggest things she'd learned during treatment, and that remembering "to be kind to myself when I can't be my usual '100% energy Mel'" had also been important.

In another recent post, the dating expert also urged followers to . "I'm sharing this here to highlight the fact that the IDEA of bowel cancer does not have to be big and scary," she wrote. "There is no need to ignore your symptoms or avoid talking to your doctor – in fact, the sooner you take action on your symptoms, the less intervention you're likely to need.
