The Directorate of Archaeology, Archives & Museums in Madhya Pradesh has initiated a series of innovative digital projects designed to improve public involvement and provide easier access to the state’s extensive historical and archaeological assets.With the introduction of AI-driven chatbots, electronic ticketing, 3D modeling, and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, these technological enhancements are transforming the way people interact with, discover, and appreciate the historical sites of Madhya Pradesh.To facilitate easier access to heritage locations, the Directorate has set up a digital ticketing system that allows visitors to secure their entry tickets online.

Additionally, a WhatsApp chatbot has been launched to simplify ticket purchases, making visits to the state’s monuments and museums as simple as sending a text message.The Directorate has also streamlined administrative tasks through a new online portal, which simplifies the process of applying for various permissions, such as venue bookings, pre-wedding and commercial filming, and other events. This digital approach ensures faster approvals and a more efficient experience for both individuals and organizations.



Complete GIS mapping of all heritage sites under the Directorate’s care now allows visitors to easily find and visit these locations through the MP Geo Portal. A specialized WhatsApp chatbot also keeps the public updated on museum exhibitions, cultural events, and heritage-related activiti.
