Monday, January 27, 2025 On January 27, 2025, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) is set to present an exclusive roadshow at the Hilton Hotel in Barcelona. This event closely follows their involvement in FITUR 2025, a prominent global tourism trade fair, where they highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s rich offerings in culture, spirituality, and eco-friendly tourism. This roadshow is designed as a pivotal opportunity to forge international relationships and position Madhya Pradesh as a prime destination for tourists from Spain.

Prominent attendees will include Mr. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, the respected Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism, Culture, Religious Endowments, and Trusts. Joining him will be Dr.

Ilyaraja T, Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation; Dr. Jeevan S. Rajak, Special Duty Officer to the Minister; and Mr.

Vivek Jude, Deputy Director of Events and Marketing at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. Spain remains a vital market for Indian tourism, evidenced by the 83,322 Spanish tourists who visited India in 2019. Although the numbers dipped during the pandemic to 39,658 in 2022, a resurgence is evident.

Madhya Pradesh, often referred to as the “Heart of Incredible India,” is well-placed to attract Spanish visitors with its authentic offerings. The region is famous for its historical sites such as the Khajuraho temples and Sanchi Stupa, as well as for the natural splendor of its national parks like Bandhavgarh.
