The six-part series narrated by radio star Vick Hope will follow five British boys Blaise, Dexter, James, Oliver and Reese as they are put through the K-pop training process with the goal of launching Dear Alice, a new boy band on the global stage.

Cameras go behind closed doors at K-pop talent powerhouse SM Entertainment for the first time to witness the band. The new trailer showed them expressing their excitement for the project as they got stuck into gruelling rehearsals. They said in the clip: 'This opportunity is huge - we want to learn and soak up everything we can but the standard is very high!' SM Entertainment has been a leader in South Korea 's entertainment and media industry for the past 30 years and is the company that founded and led the system that made K-pop a worldwide phenomenon. SME also orchestrates all aspects of the artists' journeys in the business including album planning, production, distribution, promotion, and artist management. Filmed in South Korea, Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience sees the boys immersed into K-pop culture and put through SME's K-pop training process for 100 days.

They will face a schedule of choreography, vocal and performance lessons, life coaching techniques, alongside an immersion into all aspects of Korean life - set against Seoul's striking landscapes and iconic K-pop locations. Each week the band's progress is critiqued by undisputed K-pop expert, Hee Jun Yoon, the creative force behind some of the biggest K-pop bands of the last 20 years. This is the ultimate boot camp by the people who have created the world's biggest K-pop superstars – but success is far from guaranteed.

Vick, who already hosts BBC Radio 1 Drive and ITV 's Vick Hope's Breakfast Show has revealed she's excited about the new role. The members of the band are Blaise Noon, 19, a former pupil of the BRIT school, Dexter Greenwood, 22 and James Sharp is a 23-year-old content creator from Huddersfield.

Meanwhile X Factor and Britain's Got Talent mogul Simon Cowell has set out on a quest to find the next One Direction after admitting there had not been a group as successful since, with plans for the search to appear in a Netflix documentary called The Midas Touch. And speaking on This Morning, Simon admitted that he has 'no idea' where the format for his show will go.

He told Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary: 'I have no idea how this is going to end because until we find the band that's sort of it but there is something I'm going to do in the middle which I've never done before which I'll tell you about later.' Vick's latest project comes after she enjoyed a jet-setting summer, holidaying in Ibiza and Paris. The star looked more loved-up than ever with husband Calvin Harris, 40, as she shared a glimpse into her summer so far with a number of leggy snaps no Instagram .

One snap saw her putting on a racy display in a plunging gold mesh dress, with a fringe skirt and halterneck design, showing off some major side boob. Vick cosied up to Calvin, who flashed a glimpse of his toned chest in a patterned shirt, left partially unbuttoned. Vick also shared photos of her giggling while presenting a birthday cake to her youngest brother Gabe, 26. Showing off her jet-setting lifestyle, she included snaps of her in Paris, as well as watching Calvin perform in Ibiza. Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience starts on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 17th August at 5:15pm.
