"Megan has for sure been extremely helpful in dealing with the kind of psychological withdrawals that come with getting off drugs," he added, saying that he remained persistent after multiple mental health professionals “gave up” on him. He also talked about how the decision to quit drinking changed him as a person. "I continue to embrace that this journey is gonna be hard for me, but I accept it and forgive.

I'm also really hard on myself, very self-deprecating. I’m just happy that I’m able to start to be comfortable enough to show people who I am because I kind of depended on my art to do that." On the episode, Bunnie Xo, who is country star Jelly Roll’s wife, said that she once challenged MGK to a drinking contest against Jelly Roll, without knowing about the Emo Girl singer’s addiction struggles.
