Viral killer doll M3GAN is returning to our screens – and has a new look. The box office success of M3GAN in 2022 ensured a sequel would not be far away, and now horror fans have mere months to wait to get their next instalment of the terrifying doll’s antics. New first-look images have been shared with Entertainment Weekly and details on the Blumhouse horror sequel are slowly being revealed.
The full trailer has not been released yet but a short promo was shared by Universal last year. Blumhouse’s M3GAN franchise will expand further than just the second film, as there is also a spinoff movie, titled SOULM8TE, in the works. SOULM8TE is being billed as a ’90s-style erotic thriller with a “new technological twist” and will be released on January 2, 2026 – just six months after M3GAN’s return.

Gemma and Cady got the better of the killer robot and it looked as if she was gone for good. But in the final scene viewers saw Gemma's smart home device Elsie turn to watch them. Could M3GAN have transferred her knowledge to Elsie before going down? We also saw a Funki employee steal all the information about how to create M3GAN.
It's never explained why but could that could be another way for M3GAN to return? T.
