August 29, 1953—August 14, 2023 LONGVIEW—Lynette Elizabeth Meadows passed away on August 14, 2023, in Longview, WA. Lynette was a beloved wife to Steven Meadows of Longview; sister to Laurelle (Robert) Shelby of The Dalles, OR. Lynette was preceded in death by her parents: Hubert and Shirlee Franson.
Lynette graduated from Clatskanie High School in 1971 and embarked on a remarkable career with Crown Zellerbach Corporation. Lynette stood out as one of the first females to be hired at Wauna Paper Mill, breaking barriers and inspiring others. After 29 years in the paper making industry she continued her higher education at Lower Columbia College, becoming a Pharmacy Technician.
She fully retired in 2011. Beyond her professional achievements Lynette had a passion for sewing and was renowned for her incredible talent as a seamstress. She poured her heart and soul into every project, creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to those around her.
Lynette not having any children, showed her motherly instincts through her love and care for her many and precious felines who were her world. In memory, contributions can be made to the Humane Society, a cause that was close to her heart. Lynette will be dearly missed by her loved ones, friends and all those lives she touched.
