Emergency workers in southern Italy are continuing their search for six missing individuals after a tornado sank a luxury yacht off the coast of Sicily on Monday, August 19. The incident triggered a major air and naval operation. Fifteen people were rescued, but one body was recovered from the wreckage.

Among the missing are two Americans and four Britons, including British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and prominent lawyer Chris Morvillo. The yacht, ‘Bayesian’, capsized due to a waterspout amid severe weather, leading to the disaster. The yacht, flying a British flag, had 22 people on board.



The survivors, many of whom are injured, are still in shock, with hopes of finding the missing fading. Italy’s fire brigade is conducting diving operations at the wreck site, and the UK’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch has dispatched a team to assess the scene. Built in 2008, Bayesian had a 72.
