The Lutheran Church of Guam has installed Rev. Andrew "Andy" Taylor as its new pastor, following a meaningful service the past Sunday. "With a rich background in ministry and community outreach, Pastor Andy is poised to lead our congregation in the years ahead," Lutheran Church of Guam president Joseph W.
Duenas said in a press release. During the installation ceremony, congregants and community members gathered to welcome Taylor, who emphasized the importance of the Word of God, spiritual growth, and nurturing relationships within the church and beyond, the church said. His vision includes enhancing worship experiences, expanding community service initiatives, and fostering a deep commitment to faith in Christ, the church added.
"I am incredibly honored to serve the Lutheran Church of Guam," Taylor said in a statement. "My hope is to build a strong, welcoming community that lifts up Christ and reaches out to those in need." Taylor earned his Master of Divinity in 2002 from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology and has undergone extensive theological training from several esteemed institutions, including Dallas Theological Seminary, Trinity School for Ministry and American Lutheran Theological Seminary, the Lutheran Church of Guam said.
