Friday, August 16, 2024 Lufthansa Airlines has unveiled its brand-new premium lounge in Terminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey, offering travelers a luxurious space to unwind or stay productive before their flight. Spanning 600 square meters, this elegant lounge is designed to provide comfort and convenience, catering to the needs of discerning passengers. The lounge’s highlight is the centrally located Skyline Bar, where guests can enjoy an extensive selection of beverages.

The menu features a variety of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic options, along with craft beer on tap, sourced locally from New Jersey, the “Garden State.” The culinary offerings are equally impressive, with the bistro area serving fresh regional dishes. This summer, the menu includes delights such as Jersey cornbread with candied tomato jam and sandwiches featuring trumpet mushrooms, bacon, crisp lettuce, and tomato chutney on sourdough bread.

For those seeking an elevated dining experience, First Class passengers and HON Circle members can indulge in an exclusive à la carte menu within a private dining area. The selection is complemented by a curated list of top wines and champagne, ensuring a memorable gastronomic journey. Lufthansa has invested approximately 10 million euros in this state-of-the-art lounge, underscoring its commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its premium customers.

Victoria Schuster, Vice President Product & Customer Experience Lufthansa Airlines, says: “We are proud to be able to present our guests in Newark with a new lounge that sets new standards. It offers private travelers cozy retreats for relaxation and our business customers generous workspaces. This lounge is a testament to our commitment to the customer as we strive to continually improve the experience for our guests, on the ground and in the air.

That’s why we continue to invest in our offering around the world, whether in New Jersey or elsewhere, to meet Lufthansa’s premium standards and, above all, those of our guests.” The newly opened lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport has been designed to accommodate approximately 170 guests, marking a 25 percent increase in capacity compared to its predecessor. This expanded lounge is accessible to First and Business Class passengers flying with any Lufthansa Group airline to Newark, as well as HON Circle members and Senators.

Tailored to meet the diverse needs of travelers, the lounge features a multifunctional layout that caters to both business and leisure passengers. About one-third of the space is dedicated to business travelers, offering functional communal tables equipped with wireless charging and wireless printing capabilities, ensuring that guests can stay productive before their flight. The remaining space is designed for relaxation, providing comfortable seating arrangements to suit various group sizes, from solo travelers to couples or larger groups.

The lounge also includes multifunctional rooms that can be used for meetings, calls, or even as a play area for children, making it a versatile environment for all types of passengers. Lufthansa currently operates around 60 lounges across 17 locations worldwide, consistently providing its guests with a comfortable and convenient space to relax or work before their journey..
