Wednesday, January 8, 2025 The Lufthansa Group is setting its sights on a transformative hiring campaign for 2025, planning to welcome 10,000 new professionals across a range of roles. This ambitious initiative underscores the Group’s dedication to building a robust and future-ready workforce. The recruitment strategy spans several key areas.
Over 2,000 flight attendants are expected to join the team, bringing fresh energy to the Group’s in-flight services. Ground operations will see a boost with the addition of more than 1,400 staff, while around 1,300 technical experts will support cutting-edge maintenance and engineering operations. Approximately 1,200 administrative professionals will drive the Group’s strategic goals, and nearly 800 pilots will take to the skies, contributing to the Group’s operational excellence.
Germany will play a central role in this workforce expansion, with more than half of the new hires expected to be based there. Lufthansa Technik plans to onboard over 2,000 employees, while Austrian Airlines and Eurowings each seek to strengthen their teams with around 700 new colleagues. Lufthansa Airlines will adopt a focused approach as part of its Turnaround Efficiency Program.
