Jason was described as a "true gent" with a "beaming smile" Tributes have been paid to a "lovely" dad-of-two who "died suddenly in his sleep." Yesterday, the ECHO reported how 52-year-old Jason Morland, who was a "cherished" member of the community, died after suffering a seizure in his sleep on Saturday. Jason Morland, 52, a videographer who lived in Fazakerley , was heavily involved in the Irish community in Liverpool and volunteered for a local football club.

Jason, who helped with City of Liverpool FC as a videographer, leaves behind his two children, Halle and Conor, and has been described as a "true gent." Friend Deaglan O'Dubhlainn said it was only last week that he and Jason travelled to Ireland to watch Ireland play England, with the Liverpool fan being "immensely proud of his Irish heritage." Deaglan recently told the ECHO he was a "true friend to all who knew him.

" He said: "I've known Jason Morland for 14 years, since 2010. He was 52 years old and a cherished member of the Irish community in Liverpool. "Jason was always behind the camera at our Irish events, particularly the St Patrick's Day Parades, capturing moments for us with dedication and generosity—never asking for anything in return.

He was immensely proud of his Irish heritage, and only last week, we attended the Ireland vs. England game together, where we proudly supported Ireland. "Jason’s love for his roots was evident in everything he did, and he was a true friend to all who knew him.

He was loved by everyone, and his warmth, kindness, and generosity made him truly special. Jason will be deeply missed by all of us." Since the ECHO shared the news, many readers have taken to social media to also pay tribute to Jason.
