Ryan Reynolds is planning to revive his ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ team but for a non-Marvel movie. The Hollywood superstar confirmed on an episode of Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast that he has begun writing the new project, which will reunite him with co-star Hugh Jackman and director buddy Shawn Levy. “I’m spending the year writing.
I’m writing a movie for myself, Hugh [Jackman] and Shawn [Levy] to do that is not Marvel,” said Reynolds. It is important to note, the actor refrained from divulging details about the plot or the title of the film. The only thing he clarified is that the new project will not be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The massive development comes after Jackman, Levy, and Reynolds reunited for a fun weekend. “Did that weekend happen? Loved being back with my guys talking about the thing we made together.
(Followed by a night to remember at LACMA's magical Art+Film Gala. Thank you to all of you who came out,” Levy wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the trio. Jackman and Reynolds also commemorated their reunion sharing individual posts.
