LOVE Is Blind UK star Sam Klein made a surprise return at the reunion special - and issued an apology to ex Nicole. Sam and Nicole had been briefly engaged, but their connection didn't last. Nicole instead went on to marry Benaiah Grunewald Brydie.
And at the reunion, the couple confirmed they are still together. Addressing his former fiancee, Sam said: "I do apologise, I really do. I really hope we can move forward through this.
" Sam admitted the past few weeks since the show began airing had "not been easy". He shared "I have to be real. I went to do a love show to try to find the future wife of my life.
"The last few weeks of my life have not been great. "It's been quite a lot of backlash and it's been a lot for anyone to handle. "But, I would say it's made me a lot stronger, I've learned a lot about myself.
"I've learned that I can handle anything now." Sam added: "I thought I was ready for things like love. Maybe I wasn't quite ready at the time.
" Earlier in the series, while other couples headed off on a luxurious retreat abroad to explore their physical connection - Nicole broke the news she'd ended their engagement. She told viewers: "Sam and I are meant to be on the retreat but something didn't quite feel right." While they each had their sights set on other people, Sam and Nicole had found each other during the experiment.

. However, Nicole soon realised she'd made a mistake after seeing a "sign" during Sam's proposal. She explained: "When I took the ring, I placed it on the wrong finger, on the right finger.
