Latwell Nyangu and Maria Chiguvari REIGNING Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua has fallen in love with Zimbabwe upon her first arrival in the country yesterday afternoon. Speaking during a media briefing, upon her a rrival at the Robert Gabriel International Airport she said, she fell in love with Zimbabwe upon her arrival. Miss Universe Zimbabwe chairperson, Colonel Miniyothabo Chiwenga welcomed Sheynnis to the country.

She has visited over 20 countries since she was crowned the queen last year. Sheynnis will make a tour of the country for the next five days. Speaking during a media briefing, upon her a rrival at the Robert Gabriel International Airport she said, she fell in love with Zimbabwe upon her arrival.



“I have been to 28 countries, we never stopped, I feel so happy with the platform, every single country we visit. “This is very important, we celebrate every woman around the world, we celebrate the power of women, and we are proud. “Every single day is a day to learn.

“Thank you to Zimbabwe for receiving me, and making us feel very comfortable, we are so grateful for that. “It’s true that it’s our first time in Zimbabwe, we are so happy, grateful, so excited to be here with all of you. “I am eager to immerse myself in your culture and traditions, learning about culture, gastronomy, and most importantly your energy, because we know you have a unique energy.

“We are here to promote a pageant in Zimbabwe and thanks to all the beautiful ladies here,” she said. Miss Universe Zimbabwe chairperson, Colonel Miniyothabo Chiwenga welcomed Sheynnis to the country. “Your coming to Zimbabwe is very important to us because we are a country that is trying to market our brand to the world.

“We have Victoria Falls which is one of the 7 wonders in the world, in Zimbabwe there are a lot of girls who are aspiring to be Miss Zim, so when they see you here, it comes real to them. “You are going to inspire them in many ways. We are going to make sure you learn a of things, welcome to Zimbabwe,” she said.

Miss Universe Zimbabwe partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry to bring the Miss Universe 2023 winner. Sheynnis Palacios is a 23-year-old mental health activist and audiovisual producer from Managua, Nicaragua. Sheynnis is the first Nicaraguan woman to win Miss Universe.

She was once crowned Miss Teen Nicaragua 2016; Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2020; Miss Nicaragua 2023; and Miss Universe 2023. She was welcomed by the reigning Miss Universe 2024 Sakhile Dube who was crowned in May this year. Sakhile will represent Zimbabwe in Mexico for Miss Universe 2024.
