The Lorain Lions Club has announced the Ohio Lions District 13 OH-2 annual Poinsettia Flower Sale, just in time for the Christmas holiday season is underway, according to a news release. This year’s sale started Nov. 5 and ends Dec.
4, the release said. All orders must be placed through a Lions Club. The Lorain Lions Club is a member of the Ohio Lions District 13 OH-2 and the flower sale proceeds will fund district community service projects, according to the release.
“By purchasing a poinsettia, you not only bring joy to your home but also contribute to the betterment of our communities,” the release said. “Poinsettias are a traditional symbol of the Christmas season, and this year, we are offering a beautiful selection of these vibrant plants to help brighten your homes and spread festive cheer. “The long-lasting flowers will be available in various sizes and colors, perfect for gifting or decorating your own space.
” Details of the poinsettia sale: • Prices — A 6.5-inch flower pot costs $9 and contains five to seven blooms each. An 8.
5-inch flower pot costs $17 and contains three plants with the same color or tri-color. • Available colors and red, white, pink, marble (mauve and creamy white) and Jingle bell (red with white spots) are available in both sizes. A tri-color is available only in the 8.
