Loose Women's Kaye Adams has revealed that a recent family holiday made her feel like she's "on the way out". The 61-year-old TV presenter travelled to Sicily with her partner Ian Campbell and their children Charly, 22, and Bonnie, 17. While Kaye says the trip was "wonderful", it also made her aware of her age.

Kaye admitted that her children seemed more "on it" than she was, often taking charge and planning their activities. She recalled one instance where she struggled to find a hire car company, only for her daughter to quickly take over and track it down. Writing in Woman's Weekly, Kaye said: "Going out with older children reminds you that you're on the way out.



It's like going away with your carers - they look after you. "My daughters are quicker on the ball about things, such as finding directions. We went to Sicily, and sometimes when you're in a foreign place, you're slightly bewildered and looking around absent-mindedly while trying to get your bearings.

They're not very indulgent of that." Kaye went on to say she has to make sure her daughters don't see her as "a bit dotty" but often senses a touch of "irritation" in their voice. She confesses Charly and Bonnie are "so efficient" and plan the family's holiday activities.

The Scottish presenter shared that she's feeling "wistful" at the thought this could be the final family vacation they enjoy together, as Kaye faces "empty nest syndrome" with daughter Bonnie heading to university. On her How To Be 60 podcast, Kaye .
