However, this sequel is going down the musical route, with Lady Gaga and Brendan Gleeson among the supporting cast. It looks like it’s one that needs to be seen and believed. Released at the peak of the pandemic in 2020, Spanish sci-fi hit The Platform is getting a sequel on Friday.
Viewers will be returning to the large, tower-style prison that houses various criminals, who are split across dozens of floors. On top of the free-floating platform delivering food to them on a dubious daily schedule, the inmates will have to deal with a mysterious leader imposing his law.
