F or a special evening, you can’t go far wrong with a private dining room to host your event. Stunning settings? Check. Exemplary food and drinks? Delicious.

The exclusivity of your own private party with hosts to cater to your every need? Perfect. Here are our London favourites. The Cocochine Tucked away off Berkeley Square lies the Cocochine, a modern restaurant run by the chef Larry Jayasekara with a spectacular dining room at the top of the building.

With original Andy Warhols and a Nacho Carbonell sculpture, it’s like dining in a gallery. The double-height space is huge — there’s a lounge area to have your pre- and post-dinner drinks, sit by the fire and admire the art — and enormous windows that flood light into the room during the day or offer a view of the twinkling skies at night. Jayasekara’s fine-dining menu of seasonal British food can be tailored to your needs or he can create something completely custom.

The owner Tim Jefferies wanted to bring old-school hospitality back to Mayfair and he’s done it beautifully. thecocochine.com.
