Customers using London Euston Station have branded the station a "sh*t hole" that is stuck in the past, and they are afraid of crowds at the major interchange. Network Rail and the Government announced on Friday (October 4) that it would conduct a review into passenger experience. This was after concerns had been raised over 'overcrowding' , and customers voiced opposition to the installation of a huge advertisement screen in the concourse.

Sarah Smyth, 66, has used the station for more than 50 years. She had travelled to London Euston from Manchester for meeting on Monday (October 7). Ms Smyth said: " It’s crap.



It's absolutely awful, it really is dreadful." She added: " I’m stunned to have actually got in on time and walked straight through.

"I dislike it intensely. I get a bad feeling before I even buy a ticket [..

.] Everybody’s just standing in one big pile and then there’s a stampede." Ms Smyth said ' it's worse than a football ground', and she is concerned about her safety due to her 'slightly dodgy hip'.

"People don’t seem to take any notice of obvious disabilities, let alone slightly hidden ones. It is a scary moment when the stampeded starts," she added. Steve Shanahan, 62, commutes to London from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfor.
