Lois Foss PLAINFIELD — Lois grew up in Barre, Vermont where she graduated from Spaulding High School. A short time later, she got married and moved to Arizona for a short time before returning home to Plainfield, Vermont. Lois found fulfillment in many things, including being active in her local church; Saint Monica's Catholic Church also in Barre, Vermont.

She spent her career working as a Computer Program Tester for the Department of Social Welfare in Montpelier, Vermont which she later retired from. Lois had many interests; one of them being an avid quilter. She would create quilts and wall hangings galore.

She immensely enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens during the spring and summer months. You could find her gardening around the clock! Water aerobics and Tai Chi became another favorite hobby of hers too. What brought Lois the most joy of all was her family.

She was a very active grandmother and even stayed for two months with her daughter Cathy's children, so Cathy could be at her husband’s bedside during his passing. Lois cherished spending many winters with her daughter Pat (Rod) in East Jordan, MI, where she belonged to the Drawbridge Ukelele Club. Her children and grandchildren adored her and would use fantastic, wonderful, and loving as a few ways to describe her.

Lois absolutely loved hosting family gatherings as well, even though her cooking was not the best! She was also known to enjoy a good glass of wine. Surviving are Lois's children, Pat (Dr. Rod) Tinne.
