Thursday, July 18, 2024 LNER is making waves as the first UK train operator to be awarded the prestigious Period Positive Workplace certification. This recognition by the global Period Positive Workplace Coalition acknowledges LNER ‘s groundbreaking initiative, the “Package for a Friend” scheme. Launched earlier in 2024, the scheme guarantees free access to organic TOTM period products onboard LNER trains, stations, and offices.
The Period Positive Workplace Coalition’s research highlights that a staggering 80% of respondents have experienced the inconvenience of an unexpected period without access to period products. Their research further emphasizes that by becoming a Period Positive Workplace and offering complimentary period care products to employees, employers can witness a rise in productivity and enhanced collaboration, fostering a more inclusive and equitable work environment.
