Fire crews are battling a mountain blaze near the A55. It broke out near Dwygyfylchi yesterday evening (Tuesday). A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service statement said: "We are currently receiving a large number of calls reporting a mountain fire above the #A55 , Dwygyfylchi.

We’re currently in attendance. Please keep away from the area whilst we deal with the incident." FIre crews are still there today.

However it must be noted the service has said it will only provide information to the public if they deem it will warn, inform or have a clear prevention message. The fire service has confirmed it is still at the scene today.

It currently has one engine at the scene, but it is expected more may be going to the area, as the incident continues.
