Trains running between Cambridge and Royston are at a standstill this afternoon (July 27) due to a points failure. It was reported at around 12.50pm.

The incident is affecting Great Northern services, with no trains able to move between the two stations. The operator has also warned of delays, cancellations and last minute revisions. It is currently unknown how long the disruption will last at this time.



However, passengers are being advised to plan journeys accordingly if travelling on the line. Services are currently at a stand and may be subject to delays, cancellations or last minute revisions.

"At this time, we are not able to move trains between Cambridge and Royston. If you are on a train that is currently at a stand, we know where you are and we are working on getting you back on the move shortly."
