Rivelin Valley Water Play, a popular spot for family outings during the summer months, offers a fun experience at no cost. The site has been a leisure hub since 1909, but the current park opened in 2013, and has since become a firm favourite with people of all ages.
The water park can be found in the Rivelin Valley woodlands in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, around one hour's drive away from Manchester. From Spring Bank half term to the first weekend in September, the park opens on weekends until school holidays begin, then it welcomes visitors daily. It's equipped with disabled access, including ramped entryways, special 'aqua' wheelchairs, a changing places toilet, and three large splash pads featuring anti-slip surfaces.
