In January 2004, after filming the Friends finale, Matthew Perry gave Lisa Kudrow the cookie jar from the show. Nearly 20 years later, after Perry's passing, she discovered a note hidden inside. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show , Kudrow recalled how Perry gave her the prop.
"Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode," she said. "I had recently found the note he had in it for me. I hadn’t opened it or looked inside.
But yeah, he did. He had a note in there, and I forgot about it." While Kudrow chose not to disclose the contents of the note, she added, "Timing is everything.
" Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, and their Friends co-stars—Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc—spent a decade bringing the NBC sitcom to life. The show, which debuted in 1994 and ran for 10 seasons, celebrated its 30th anniversary in September 2024. Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing, died on October 29, 2023, at the age of 54.
