Singer-songwriter Lily Allen has opened up about how eating "has become an issue" for her, heartbreakingly revealing she is "not in a great place mentally". The Not Fair hitmaker, who is known for her candid approach, relocated to New York in 2020, along with her Stranger Things actor husband, David Harbour, and her two daughters, Ethel Mary, 13, and Marnie Rose, 11. Since moving across the pond, Lily, 39, has been attending therapy and has now shared a little insight into her troubles - including the fact that she will regularly forget to eat.
London-born Lily, who says she struggles to tuck into meals that haven't been "ordered and made" for her, recently got honest on her podcast Miss Me? , which she co-hosts with best pal, presenter and former Popworld star Miquita Oliver. Outspoken songstress Lily told listeners: "I've been going through a tough time over the last few months, and my eating has become an issue. My therapist and I talk about it, and she says, 'How long has this been going on?' And I said, 'Well, about three years really'.
And she's like, 'Okay, why haven't you mentioned it before?'. "And it's not because I'm lying about it. It's just because it's not seemed at the top of the list of important things that I need to talk about, but obviously, it is.
" She continued: "I'm not really good at talking about the bigger picture. That's something about my ADHD as well that I don't link things. And also, my body and my brain are two very separate things to me.
I know.
