Rolling Stone reported that Victoria's Secret chose Tyla for her "vibrant personality" and "innovative take on pop and R&B".

The fashion brand hailed Tyla as an "integral" part of the "entertainment, glamour and fashion" of this year's show. "Growing up, I was captivated by the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show – the stunning outfits, iconic wings, and charismatic models," Tyla said in a statement. She continued: Now, I'm thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage.



What's even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show returns to Brooklyn, New York, after a years-long hiatus and this 2024 musical line-up will only feature women. According to Billboard , artists who have previously performed at the fashion show include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and more.

Tyla was also announced as the October cover star of Elle magazine in the US. She spoke to the publication about her surprise Paris Olympics performance, which happened ahead of the 2024 games.
